Step 1. Go to Google and insert the following search string of words:
Note: Always insert Craigslist in parenthesis as the first word in the search string…like this:
“Craigslist”
Then you need to enter different search variables, here is an example, you will enter it like this:
“craigslist” Atlanta and Lease Option and Rent to own and Must Sell
Don’t worry about the case, it doesn’t matter and remember to use “and” to include other search variables to your search that are specific to what you are searching for.
For example this will return results in craigslist for the city of Atlanta, in addition you will most likely get results from other boards or ads such as Kijiji or City- data or BackPage…and some junk as well. However this is a powerful way to cross many different boards with one search.
Other examples:
“craigslist” Atlanta and for sale by owner and home and must sell
“craigslist” Portland and home and foreclosure
You can get as creative as you want in your searches however you may get different results as well.
Give it a try right now!
There are far more powerful tools to use that would help you scan for example ALL of craigslist in minutes and also return the email address of the seller so you can contact them directly. This will save you HUNDREDS OF HOURS! If you want to know more about this tool you can click here to view more details.
However before you find a home you’re going to need contracts and before you begin negotiating you should understand what your contracts say and let me share with you right now that you won’t find any good contracts for free on the internet. How important is a contract? Well…I don’t know that I need to go into detail about that because it’s pretty clear that you should have something in place that protects you and your position in your deal or should I say for most of you your new home and you should know what you’re signing…right?
Good Luck!
